Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #410

March 3, 2021 Hi Crafty Friends, Today I have my card for challenge #410. If you want to participate, please click on this link https://atlanticheartschallenge.blogspot.com/   This was such a fun card to make. I even made an envelope to match using Trinity Stamps Envelope Builder Die Set. I used a piece of 12 x 12 paper that was in my stash from an old Stampin Up paper pack. To make my card, I used the Trinity Stamps Scalloped Die Set. This set came with a few banner dies and I thought it would be fun to use one of those as my grassy hills. I thought it came out pretty cute. So I used Nina Solar White 110 pound card stock for the base and used the larger scallop die. I used the smaller scallop die on top and ink blended Catherine Pooler Ink's Garden Party and It's a Boy to reflect grass and sky. I added white and black paint flecks. I used Not 2 Shabby Shop's Woodland Buddies Stamp Set and colored up all of the images with my Copics. I loved creating a cute little scene wi

Card Hoppin February - Favorite Color plus Acetate

February 26, 2021 Hi Friends, Today is the Card Hoppin February Hop and I have two cards for you. We are all members of the Facebook Group Handmade Happiness and have come together for a fun year of hops featuring different themes and techniques. This is hop number two and my favorite color is blue or blue/green and I chose to use acetate instead of the other choice which was vellum.  For my first card, I just wanted the shaker portion to be inside the cake. I die cut many different colors of the Happy Birthday die and adhered all of the die cut pieces together. I used one layer of foam tape and also die cut a piece of acetate for the cake portion. To do this I didnt cut through the acetate the whole way instead I did more of an raised embossing so I used scissors to cut the portion I needed out. Once I added the confetti and glued the acetate on top, I then glued another die cut on top to finish off the card and give it a clean look.  For my second card, I decided to make a full shak

Case Your Fellow AECP Crafter

February 19, 2021 Hi Crafty Friends, This week I participated in a hop for those of us who are part of the Altenew Educator Certification Program. We had to CASE, which in case you dont know yet stands for Copy And Share Everything, a fellow creator. I was overjoyed to be able to CASE Anna who you can find here at https://www.instagram.com/craftyannastudio/ and https://craftyannastudio.blog/. I found a beautiful card she made with Altenew's Spring Daisy Stamp set and I just new it was the one. She used a blue background and embossed a silver pattern and then stamped and embossed her images on vellum. Here is the card I was inspired to create I used Altenew's Larkspur Build-A-Flower Set and Watercolor Stripes Cover Die. Instead of embossing my background, I used Brutus Monroe Silver Glitter glaze and covered my entire card base with my Scrapbook.com All Purpose Craft Scraper. I then added my cover die panel on top. I stamped and embossed the flowers using Simon Says Stamp White

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #408

February 17, 2021 Hi Crafty Friends, Today, I have a card for the Sketch Challenge number 408. It was more of a simple sketch so I thought I would try my hand at a masculine birthday card. I decided to foil a card using Brutus Monroe's Paint Brushed Designer Toner Sheets with Summer Rainbow Deco Foil. All you have to do is cut down your toner sheet to the size you need and add the foil on top pretty side up. I then put it in between a piece of copy paper and ran it through my laminator. It came out perfect! I decided to cut down my panel for the middle and have a small strip on the top and bottom to match the sketch. I added a bit of black cardstock and stamped my sentiment with Versafine Nocturne Ink. Even though this foil has a bit of pink in it, I think it can be used as a great masculine card! Here is a copy of Sketch 408 If you would like to play along, please click on the link here https://atlanticheartschallenge.blogspot.com/ Thank You  Crafty Hugs, Alli The toner sheets I

February 3, 2021 Hello Crafty Friends, Today, I have my card for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #406.  This card was very quick and fun to make. I had a left over kit from Scrapping for Less that was all about birthdays. Since I have so many birthdays at the start of the year, this type of card is always needed. I added a pretty bow to my tag, a bit of nuvo glitter gloss and a few red gems. Here is a copy of the sketch  Thank you for stopping by! Crafty Hugs, Alli

Altenew Layering 3 and 4 Classes

January 25, 2020 Hello Crafty Friends,  Today, I have two cards to share made with Altenew products. The layering 3 and 4 class are not required for the Altenew Educator Program but I decided to include a project I made after watching those courses. All of the layering classes have been so much fun to watch and learn from. I have really enjoyed seeing the tutorials on specific stamp sets and it has really helped me figure out how to line up all of my sets better. Since I have been enjoying the sentiments in the Build-A-Flower Sakura Blossom Stamp Set, I thought it time to use the actual layering stamps.  I decided to pull out a piece of watercolor paper and my Altenew 36 Pan Set. I used my paint brush to add clean water to my panel and drop in Lavender Fields to create a simple background. I did use my heat gun to dry that and then add black and white splatters. My favorite color is blue and or shades of blue but lately I have been very inspired by the color purple. I used Soft Lilac,
